Confidential Consulting

Every organization has issues but most prefer for matters to remain confidential. Our consultants work dilligently to buy trust and are open and honest about limitations.

The client

A small, private but prestigious organization.

The issue

Since our firm is known for our parliamentary consulting expertise, we were contacted by the chair of the organization’s board with a thorny question: the chair had made a decision that had been challenged. Could our firm advise on a response and offer an opinion?

The strategy

We spoke with the chair and other board members, sought out the relevant bylaws, discussed among ourselves and ultimately wrote an opinion backing up the chair’s decision.

The outcome

Our opinion was accepted by the organization, in large part because it was fact-based and not written to persuade. We were happy that the chair was happy—but we have also advised in other cases that decisions be overturned. As far as we are concerned, it’s the facts that count.
